Kano State was agog, on Saturday, when the Deputy Governor, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, gave out his daughter in marriage.

The deputy governor’s daughter got married to the son of late Major General Abdul-One Muhammad.

The Groom, Ahmad Abdul-One Muhammad through his representative, Amassador Dan-Kano, paid N300,000.00 as dowry of his bride, Fatima Nasir Gawuna.

However, the event, which held on Alu Avenue in Nassarawa local government area of the state, brought together a reunion Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Senator representing Kano Central, Mal. Ibrahim Shekarau.

The duo met for the first time since the party crisis that rocked the state Congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano.

Shekarau along senator representing Kano North Barau Jibril and four house of representatives members from Kano; Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada of Municipal Federal Constituency; Abdulkadir Jobe of Rimin-Gado/Dawakin-Tofa/Tofa; Barr. Abdullahi Karaye of Karaye, had since formed an APC faction, which has Haruna Danzago as Chairman.

Chief Imam of Al-Furqan mosque, Sheikh, Dr. Bashir Aliyu Umar, was the officiator of the event.

Among those who attended the ceremony were former PDP National Chairman Adamu Mu’azu, former secretary to the Government of the Federation, Alh. Yayale Ahmed, and Defence Minister, Major General Aliyu Magashi (rtd).

Others were Governor Mohammad Abubakar Badaru of Katsina State, former Governors of Zamfara and Sokoto states, Abdulazeez Yari and Wamako, members of diplomatic corps, captains of industries, traditional rulers among prominent personalities.
