The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has trained about 30 staff on investigation and prosecution at the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Abuja.

This was disclosed by chairman of the commission Barr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado when he received the executive members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ungogo branch in his office.

He said the commission attached high premium in developing the capacity of its staff to meet the emerging challenges in the fight against corruption.

Barr. Muhuyi, who lamented the level of corruption in our society commended the branch for establishing an anti-corruption committee.

He assured them of the commission`s readiness to partner with the branch in its activities.

The chairman of the branch Barr. Sheik Mujibur-rahman commended the agency’s chairman for giving it purposeful leadership that raised its status not only in Kano but the country at large.

He called on the commission to embark on massive public enlightenment campaign to sensitize people on the dangers of corruption to individual and the society.
