Making the call in a press release issued to Pyramid Trust in Kano, Tarai said in an ideal democratic setting, those who had served the electorate well should be rewarded to serve as an inspiration to others.

Tarai however stated that his reservation on the report submitted on Kibiya local council does not mean that, he passed a vote of no confidence on Kano legislators, stressing that his call was informed by the need to ensure objectivity and fairness.

According to him all that democracy entailed was service to humanity, saying no one should be allowed to toy with the future of his people.
