A Sharia Court No. 2 sitting at Shahuchi, in the Kano Municipal Local Government Area, has ordered the remand of one Abdurrahman Hamisu Rijiyar Fulani over allegations of using excessive force and inflicting serious injuries on Malam Dandada Musa.

The defendant was arraigned by the state counsel and subsequently charged by the court registrar on two counts.

The prosecution alleged that the accused attacked the victim with a knife during an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation, resulting in serious bodily harm.

It was further noted that the victim is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges.

Presiding Judge Salihu Jaafar ordered that the accused be remanded in a correctional facility pending further proceedings.

The case was adjourned to enable the court to review the medical condition and recovery status of the victim before the final determination of the matter.
