The Kano State Government has dissolved the state central working committee, as well as all the 44 local government coordinating committees on Community Development Associations (CDA).
The Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, stated this when he held a meeting with the dissolved committee members in his office.
Kwankwaso explained that the dissolution of the central working committees was consequent upon the expiration of their tenure.
In a statement, the Director, Community Development of the ministry, Alhaji Muktar Yau Dawakiji, further directed the dissolved committees of the state and of the local government areas to handover the affairs of their offices to the Assistant Directors, Community Development and heads of community departments of the 44 LGAs.
Alhaji Dawaki further stated that a caretaker committee would soon be inaugurated to organise elections.
