The Kano State Agropastoral Development Project (KSADP) and Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA) have commenced the distribution of farm inputs to farmers across the 44 LGAs of the state as part of the effort to increase yield per hectare and create wealth and income for farmers.
This was disclosed by the Project Coordinator of KSADP/SAA, Comrade Abdulrasheed Hamisu Kofarmata, during the official flag off of the distribution exercise.
He explained that the project funded through a loan facility from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and a grant component from Live and Livelihood Funds (LLF) had invested in the development of sustainable agro-production system in the state.

He explained that farm inputs worth over N100m, included improved high-yielding, disease and drought-resistant seed varieties of upland and low land rice, maize, sorghum, millet, soybeans and groundnuts, herbicides, fungicides and pesticides and fertilisers.
