At least seven lives were lost while property worth over N50 million were destroyed by fire incidents in February, 2025, in Kano State.
The spokesman of the state Fire Service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, who made this known, said during the month, the state fire service received a total of 77 fire calls, 11 rescue calls and three false alarms.
He said, “Estimated properties destroyed by fire in the month of February amounted to N50,318,000, while estimated properties saved by the state fire service personnel amounted to N180,318,000.
“Seven lives were lost as a result of a fire incident, while seven lives were saved.”
