Introducing the 6 screen to journalists before the official launching on Friday, Group Managing Director/CEO, Kane Mkparu said the launch was in line with what he described as Film House’s commitment to take cinema entertainment to every region in Nigeria.
Kane said all the 6 screens have 7.1 surround sounds, and 840 stadium luxury seating with separate seating arrangement for men and women.
Northern region, he said has a very rich cinema culture but Filmhouse Cinemas Kano is the first modern cinema to be launched in Northern Nigeria.
“We chose to bring Dubai to Kano with this cinema, where guests can experience the same kind of excitement and entertainment enjoyed by people in Dubai, of course with the same Filmhouse 2015 model touch.” He said
Filmhouse said it will provide an additional outlet for Kannywood and Nollywood producers to showcase their films.
