‎Kano Gov sets up committee for 3rd anniversary celebration

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the constitution of a 13-member committee to coordinate activities marking the third anniversary of his administration. 

‎In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor said the committee would be chaired by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim, while Alhaji Muhammad Jalo, Permanent Secretary of Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs (REPA), will serve as secretary.

‎The committee also has as members the Commissioners for Works, Engr. Marwan Ahmad; Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf; Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Dahir Muhammad Jashim; Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr. Danjuma Mahmoud; Education, Dr. Gwani Ali Haruna Abubakar Makoda; Land and Physical Planning, Hon. Abduljabbar Umar Garko; and Rural and Community Development, Hon. Abdulkadir Abdussalam.

Others are Hon. Adda’u Lawan Kutama, Special Adviser at the Cabinet Office; Alhaji Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Director General, Media and Publicity; Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo, Director General, Protocol; and Hajiya Nana Asma’u Jibrin, Director General, Research and Documentation.

‎According to the statement, the committee has been mandated to organise a befitting programme to commemorate the administration’s third year in office and showcase its achievements.
