The Kano State Hisbah Board, in continuation of its operation “Kau da badala”, has arrested 18 youths – males and females – in different parts of the state suspected of exhibiting immoral behaviours.
The Deputy Commandant General of the board, Dr Mujahid Aminuddeen Abubakar, who made this known, said they arrested nine males and nine females at Zangon Dakata, River Bird, Sabon Gari, Airport Road, Nassarawa Hospital Road, Alu Avenue, Mumdubawa, Ahmadu Bello Way and Hadejia Road.
He added that among those arrested were foreigners who came for a birthday party.
He noted that, “What is a birthday party when we are battling hunger and hike in the prices of foodstuffs. The worst part of it was the mingling of males and females; it’s against Islamic teachings.”
In a similar development, the police command in the state handed over 38 suspects to the board, among who were pregnant women and nursing mothers.
