A Daily Trust reporter stationed at Tudun Bojuwa, Kurna polling unit, in Dala Local Government Area of Kano State, was accosted by some political thugs who seized his phone and deleted all pictures and videos taken from other polling units.
The thugs threatened the reporter and snatched his phone claiming that he had taken a video of them.

They threatened to call their godfathers and have the reporter arrested by the police.
Later, after much pleading and persuasion, they returned the phone but deleted all the pictures and videos that were on the phone.
The reporter was directed to leave and stay away from all other polling units.
It is unclear at the time of this report, who sent the thugs or why they are at the polling unit but the reporter was accused of being a spy for the Kwankwasiyya movement.
Similarly, in polling unit at the Government Girls Arabic School, Bichi, All Progressives Congress (APC) officials threatened another Daily Trust reporter to leave or “face the consequences.”
He had taken pictures at the unit, when he was threatened to leave.
