The spokesman of the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif Abudullahi, has said that the command received a call at 1958 hours from Muhammad Sambo, the Director, Administration and General Services of the Ministry of Women Affairs, who informed them that he saw the corpse of a man of about 31 years old by the roadside on Airport Road.
He said, “Our men conveyed the corpse to the Mallam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital Hospital (AKTH) and handed it over to police officer Usman Lawan of Noman’s Land Police Division.”

Similarly, Abdullahi said that the command received a call from one Jamilu Aliyu who reported seeing a boy, about 15 years old, in a well on BUK Road behind MTD Police Division.
He said, “Our men arrived at the scene at 1638 hours. The victim was rescued unconscious and was later confirmed dead. Therefore, we handed the corpse over to Inspector Nura Abdullahi of Kwalli Police Division.”
