Kano man remanded for stabbing police officer

A magistrate’s court sitting in Gyadi-Gyadi, Kano, has remanded one Salim Sani for allegedly stabbing a police officer, Nazifi Abdullahi, with a knife.

The prosecutor, Sabiu Naiya, alleged that the suspect used a knife to stab the officer which led to serious injuries on his body.

Kano man remanded for stabbing police officer

The suspect pleaded guilty to the one-count charge.

The Judge, Nafisu Yusuf, ordered that the defendant be remanded in a correctional centre and adjourned the case to March 27.
