Chairman Kano Pillars Fans Alhaji Bashir Idriss Muazu has dissociated himself from the humiliation meted out to governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje by some fans at the Kano Pillars Stadium last Saturday.
Addressing a press conference at the NUJ Press Centre in Kano
yesterday, Muazu wondered why he was single-handedly fingered in the incident that led to the stoning of the governor with sacthets of pure water shortly after the conclusion of a football match with Kano Pillars.
According to him, he was matured enough to respect the person of the governor by his age and status adding that Kano Pillars had appreciably performed wonders courtesy of governor Ganduje’s effort in propelling the club to greater height.
He however stated that the Club was strongly supported by the financial grant amounting to the whooping sum of #67m as a take-off grant in for the sole purpose of participating in the premier league stressing that only a serious minded governor like Ganduje can make such a commendable gesture.
