Kano police command has confirmed the arrest of three suspects over alleged killing of one Abdulaziz Lawan at Fagge quarters of Kano metropolis.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Kano command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa who confirmed the arrest in a press statement Monday said the victim was knocked down with a vehicle by his assailants before they finally hacked him to death with a knife.

He said the suspects were arrested while trying to dump unconscious body of their victim at Abedi by France road in Sabongari area of the state capital.

PPRO said the victim was confirmed death on arrival at Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital.

“Today 06/05/2019 at about 1500hrs, the police in Kano received a report that some suspected criminals smashed one Abdulaziz Lawan ‘m’ 23years old of Fagge Quarters Kano using their Mercedes Benz 180 C-Class Motor Vehicle.

“They came out from the vehicle and attacked the victim with a knife and tried to dumb him at Abedi by France Road Sabongari Quarters Kano.

“Police immediately rushed to the scene and arrested three suspects and recovered the exhibit motor vehicle.

“Victim was rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital where he was confirmed dead by a Medical Doctor.

DSP Kiyawa added that investigation has commenced to ascertain the motives behind the ugly incident, before the perpetrators could be charged to court.
