  Secretary to the state government, Alhaji Abdulkarim Hassan made this known while receiving the Conseil-General of Benin Republic, Alhaji Mukthari Ali Daura, in his office during the week.  

Alhaji Hassan congratulated the new Conseil-General over his appointment while noting that it is worthwhile.

He further expressed appreciation over the visit and assured that government, will continue to ensure the safety of lives and property of Beninoise residing in the state.

On his part, the new Conseil-General, who observed that the relationship between the state and the Republic of Benin had been in existence for over 200 years, assured that his people residing in the state would continue to be law abiding.
