Kano University honors late Hausa Singer Magajiya Dambatta

The Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria Kano (MAAUN) has immortalized late Hausa singer Magajiya Dambatta Makoda for her sterling contribution in school enrollment and her immeasurable contribution to the educational sector. The University has named the whole of its school of law building after the late singer.

According to a development activist based in Kano, Malam Abdullahi Sufi, late Magajiya Dambatta Makoda could easily be identified as an individual who single handedly rose to motivate people on what she believed will be good for them. He explained that the gesture done to her by the university is such that is popularly akin to the rich, popular, friends, family  or often given for political interest. 

‘This is an entire state of the art edifice that the university has named after her, the Magajiya Dambatta Makoda, School of Law in MAAUN Kano is in recognition to late Magajiya’s contribution to education that leads to the production of more graduates in all fields of human endeavor from the North region,” said Sufi.
