American rapper and fashion mogul, Kanye West, has lost $2 billion in a day over an antisemitic comment he made via his social media handle some days ago.
Being anti-Semitic simply means being hostile to or prejudiced against Jewish people. “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE,” the rapper wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

Shortly after his post, the rap artiste was suspended from using the services of social media platforms like Twitter.
More so mega brands cut ties with the rapper now known as Ye. For instance, his long-time partnership with Adidas which made him a billionaire was cut due to the anti-Semitic comment.
“Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness,” the fashion giant wrote.
His severed ties with Adidas removes him from the billionaire status. More so, Bank JP Morgan and clothing retailer, Gap, also ended their relationship with Ye; while, a popular retail shoe store in the USA, Foot Locker, ordered its staff that all Kanye West shoes should be removed from its stores.
In a recent post by the rap artiste via his verified Instagram account, he revealed that he lost $2 billion in a day.
He wrote, “Ari Emmanuel. I lost 2 billion dollars in one day. And I’m still alive. This is love speech. I still love you. God still loves you. The money is not who I am. The people is who I am.”
