Katsina State House of Assembly has set up a 7-man special committee to study the Child Protection Bill 2017 and make recommendations towards its passage in law.

The speaker, Tasi’u Musa Maigari, said the committee which has eight weeks to complete its assignment, should work assiduously towards ensuring the completion of the work. According to him, the committee should look into the bill to see if there was anything that went against the religion and culture of the people and also extract its benefit to the people.
