Katsina: Court sacks APC’s HOR member, Amiru Tukur Idris
A Federal High Court sitting in Katsina has sacked the member representing Bakori/ Danja House of Representative Amiru Tukur Idris.
Delivering her judgement, Justice Hadiza Shagari said all the 7 relief sought by the applicant, Engr Yakubu Nuhu Danja have been granted.
She said,  the substitution of the plaintiff name ( Yakubu Danja)  with that of the second defendant ( Amiru Tukur)  as the first defendant candidate in the Federal house of Representatives election in null, unlawful and of no effect.
“The relief sought by the plaintiff are hereby granted and the originating summons succeed”  She added
Engr Yakubu had approached the court seeking for justice when his name was replaced by the All Progressive Congress APC party as winner in the just held primaries of the party.
At the primaries, Yakubu polled 314 votes to defeat the incumbent Tukur with 305 votes and was announced winner at the constituency only for his name to be replaced when being submitted to INEC by the party.
Some of the prayers sought at the court include an order setting aside the nomination or substitution  as well as declaring him as winner having secured the highest votes at the primaries subsists.
