Katsina State government in partnership with Space and Pattern Limited has created a new 40 hectare metropolitan layout at Tuma district in the state capital.

The project is a site and services scheme where plots of land with fully developed infrastructural services are provided for the beneficiaries to build their own choice houses in compliance with set standard and building regulations.

The project would comprise a projected output of 500 plots of land of different sizes provided by the state government while the partnering firm will provide infrastructural facilities that include roads, drainages, water supply, electricity and perimeter fencing fitted with close circuit cameras. 

Speaking at the  foundation laying ceremony Governor Aminu Masari said such collaboration was needed in view of government’s lean financial situation noting that they would play their role of ensuring smooth execution of the scheme.

He said this was a giant step towards ensuring affordable accommodation and business outlets for prospective buyers. 

In his remarks, Vice Chairman of the company, Umar Nagogo said other services such as central mosque, daily prayer mosque, police post, fire service station, hospital, Islamic school, primary school shall be provided in partnership with the state government.
