The Katsina State Police Commissioner, Mohammed Wakili, has read the riot act to officers and miscreants in the state.
Wakili was speaking during a state-wide tour of the five area commands and 38 divisions spread across the 34 local government councils in the state.
Speaking during its launch at Central Police station in the metropolis, Wakili said police officers should be alive to their responsibilities by adhering to laid down rules and guidelines as enshrined in their operational guidelines.
He called on officers and men to be disciplined and avoid corrupt practices and rededicate themselves to duties saying “respect for human rights must be strictly upheld in the course of duties.”
He said the command is committed to reducing crime to barest minimal level.
Wakili added that collaboration with sister security agencies is highly desirable in the war against crime and urged men and officers to have synergy at various levels to advance security issues across the state.
