Speaking at the commissioning of the ambulances, the state governor, Aminu Masari, said the gesture was coming at a time when the incoming administration has placed the health sector as one of its priorities.
He said, the services to be provided will address pressing maternal issues that has caused so many deaths saying that the motorbikes would provide succor to those in need.
Masari also called for the judicious use and protection of the equipment as government would not tolerate their improper usage or damages.
Earlier,  the CHAI Country Director, Dr Owen Wiwa, said the foundation was concerned about the state of health facilities especially in rural areas and that this was one of their interventions, noting that health concerns have remained their cardinal objectives.
