Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has directed all political appointees of Governor Bello Masari to hand over to the most senior director in their MDAs.
However, he exempted Pilgrims Welfare Board, saying it will continue as a committee until the completion of 2023 Hajj exercise.
Radda has also announced his first set of appointments.
In a statement he personally signed, the governor announced Architect Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, a former Director General of the Federal Mortgage Bank, as the Secretary to the Government of the State.
In another development, the Katsina state governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has dissolved all political appointments with effect from today, Tuesday.

Similarly, Alh. Jabiru Tsauri was appointed the new Chief of Staff; Barr. Muhtar Aliyu Saulawa, Deputy Chief of Staff; while Alh. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji has been appointed as Principal Private Secretary.
Other appointments approved by Governor Radda are Mallam Maiwada Danmallam, Director General Media; Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed Chief Press Secretary; Malam Miqdad Isah as Senior Special Assistant (Digital Media) and Abubakar Badaru Jikamshi becomes the Senior Special Assistant ( Print and Electronic Media).
Alh. Bishir Maikano is the Senior Special Assistant (Protocol) Deputy Governor’s Office.
Other appointments are Alh. Hassan Ibrahim Danhaire as Senior Special Assistant (Special Duties) Deputy Governor’s Office and Ahmed Rabiu as Official Photographer to the Governor.
The Governor congratulated the new appointees and urged them to join hands with him in turning around fortunes of the State.
Daily Trust reports that Governor Radda has promised to find people with the same commitment and sincerity of purpose towards building a better future for the people of Katsina.
