Katsina holds Agricultural exhibition to showcase state potentials

No fewer than one thousand exhibitors have so far indicated their interest to take part in this year’s Katsina Agricultural show slated to begin on Tuesday next week.

The chairman of the main organising committee and Managing Director of the state Agricultural Development Authority, Ibrahim Musawa said the three days vent aimed at showcasing the agricultural potentials of the state with a view to exchanging, harnessing ideas to advance the agricultural sector.

He said, already, neighbouring state’s, development partners, agricultural research and financial institution have reached out and ready to provide services to farmers saying that the state shall unveil it’s agricultural potentials as well as agricultural comparative advantages for investors.

Other side attraction at the show , he said, includes, seminars, special days as well as agricultural display competition amongst participants in ten areas of cereals, legumes, aqua culture, root and tubers, fishery and livestock as well as farm power mechanisation and export crops.

He said, what makes this event more appealing was the free of charge participation fees that was approved by the state governor saying that ” any person or group wishing to take part it is free ”

” I want to assure all that adequate arrangement have been put in place for the successful three days event, feel free to reach out and discuss, we are ready to collaborate to have a fruitful event” he said ‎
