Katsina mourns 2 illustrious sons

It is with a lot of sadness that I learnt within a week of the death of two illustrious sons of Katsina State: Alhaji Sani Katsina  who died on   December 7 and Alhaji Sani Idris Bagiwa who died earlier on December 3, 2020.

While the first, Sani Katsina hailed from Katsina city, the second deceased  was from Bagiwa in Mani Local Government Area.

Sani Katsina’s career in broadcasting and the civil service took him to the highest level and he served as Chairman of the Katsina State Civil Service. Sani Bagiwa, on the other hand, graduated with a degree in Chemistry in 1975 and a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry in 1978. He worked variously as a teacher, lecturer and Education Attaché at the Nigerian Embassy in the United Kingdom. He also served as Special Adviser to two different governors of Katsina State and also to Late President Umar Musa Yar’Adua. May Allah forgive their shortcomings and reward them with Aljannah Firdaus.
