Katsina: NACA screens 5,000 for HIV, diabetes

The National Agency for Control of AIDS (NACA) has commenced a four-day free health outreach program in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State and about  5,000 persons are expected to benefit from the programme.
Flagging off the programme, NACA Director General, John Idoko represented by Monday Yanet said the outreach which was in collaboration  with the Millenium Development Goals office was aimed at bringing healthcare closer to the populace.
According to him, persons are to be screened on HIV, Diabetes, Hepatitis and other ailments saying that drugs are to be given free to beneficiaries.
District Head of Safana and Yariman Katsina Sada Rufa’I commended NACA for the initiative which he says will go a long way in improving the health care of the people especially those at the local areas.
