Katsina State Police Command has decorated 14 senior police officers with their new ranks.  Most of the officer were promoted and decorated with the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police  (DSP). 
Speaking at the decoration ceremony, the state Commissioner of Police Usman Abdullahi charged the newly promoted officers to see their promotion as a call to higher responsibility.
According to him, their promotion was in line with the Inspectors General of Police’s resolve to motivate officers to be more diligent and add value to the force.
He called on them to justify their new promotion by re-dedicating  themselves to the service.
“The police has evolve so many ways of improving welfare and dedication to service, this promotion is part of it. We are also awarding scholarships to about 325 children of our bereaved colleagues” he added.
