A new 500 housing unit estate is to be constructed in Katsina estimated to cost about 2 billion naira.

The estate which is situated opposite the Ahmadu Bello Housing units along Abba Rimi road is expected to be completed within nine months.  

Speaking at the foundation  laying ceremony, Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello  Masari urged the contractors to avoid past mistakes where religion, cultures  and norms of the people were discarded which led to the under utilisation of past government constructed estates.

“Some of the estates built in the past had not been occupied because they failed short of the culture of the people,” he said.
