The first batch of 560 Katsina pilgrims have arrived Jedda en route to Nigeria signalling the commencement of return airlift for Katsina state.
Addressing the pilgrims before their departure to Jedda airport, the chairman of the state pilgrims welafre board, Salisu Shinkafi said all arrangments have been concluded for the return of the pilgrims back home.
According to him, subsequently the second, third and fourth flights are for 14th, 15th and 16th of this month respectively noting that the 5th flight will be by 18th as most pilgrims on that flight have not visited Madina and will be allowed to do so.
He assured that the board is committed to the welfare of the pilgrims which is paramount adding that ‘ we expect the pilgrims to reciprocate by obeying directives for smooth operation of the exercise’
About 2810 pilgrims performed this year’s Hajj From the state.
