The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has conducted primaries in 16 out of 21 local government areas of the state in preparation for the October 26 council polls.
The primary election, which was held on Saturday, did not hold in five local government areas of the state where candidates were selected on consensus arrangement.
Some of the local government areas where primaries were held for the chairmanship and councillorship positions include, Argungu, Kalgo, Jega, Aliero, Gwandu, Arewa, Augie and Bunza.
Meanwhile, the state chairman of PDP, Malam Haruna Saidu has called on Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission (KESIEC) to ensure that all parties are accorded level playing ground in the election.
