Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has flagged off the rehabilitation of N3.8bn Yauri township roads.

Idris on Saturday also announced that his administration would soon commence rehabilitation of Warra township roads in Ngaski Local Government Area of the state and it is to gulp N1.8bn.

“Warra roads are the only ones not rehabilitated and my government found it necessary to take action,” said.

The township roads in Yauri to be constructed and rehabilitated include local government Dawanau junction, market road about – Tashar Garkuwa, Garkan Dudu- Liberia junction and police station – Union Bank.

He said roads rehabilitation and construction in the state would be a continuous process under his administration.

The governor stated that the Zuru Emirate roads are the next in line to be rehabilitated and that negotiations are being finalised between the state government and the federal government for the completion of Koko/Dabai and Malando- Warra- Kainji roads.

Idris also announced that his administration would equally rehabilitate roads in Argungu Emirate and thanked the emir and the people of the area for their unflinching support to his administration and promised to sustain the gesture.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Abdullahi Umar-Faruk, said that the roads’ rehabilitation was in line with the spirit of good governance of Gov. Idris’ administration.
