Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has ordered a probe into the circumstances surrounding the death of two children from the same parents at a General Hospital in Zuru area of the state.

A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, and made available to journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday, said the governor has approved the constitution of a special committee to investigate the remote and immediate probable causes of the children’s death.

It added that the committee is to identify all those directly or indirectly connected with the incident leading to their death, and in line with the allegations that they were victims of a wrongful administration of an injection.

It said the committee is also to apportion appropriate blame where necessary, and make recommendations to avert future occurrences.

The committee is given one week to submit its report.
