The Director, Veterinary/Livestock Service, Dr Bala Kakale, was contacted severally for an update on the incident.
Kakale had assured our correspondent that a team of investigators will be dispatched to the affected backyard farm.
The owner, Hajiya Amina however, confirmed to our correspondent on Monday, that no official from the ministry visited since the incident.
“Nobody from the ministry came to my house up till now. I have lost all my investment to the unfortunate mysterious outbreak and I have since closed the poultry building in my back yard because I have no money to start all over again. Besides, even if I receive support, I can’t take any risk until the cause of the large scale death is investigated.
“Please help us to appeal to government to come to my assistance; I have lost everything, “she said.
Dr Kakale was not in the office when our correspondent visited again yesterday morning. He however, assured on phone that, a team will visit the poultry by the end of this week to make their findings.
