The Kebbi State Government has officially opened its newly constructed 25,000-capacity secretariat complex in Gwadangaji for full civil service operations.
The complex, commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was completed under the administration of Governor Nasir Idris and is designed to accommodate over 25,000 civil servants.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, and the Head of Service, TPL Malami Muhammad Shekare, led top government officials and workers in relocating to the facility, marking the full commencement of activities in the new complex.
Speaking shortly after settling into his office, Tafida assured that the state would strengthen its maintenance culture to preserve the investment and provide adequate security and essential services for effective management.
In his remarks, Shekare said necessary administrative systems would be fully operational to regulate official processes within the secretariat. He called on civil servants to reciprocate the governor’s gesture by demonstrating renewed commitment, discipline and punctuality.
Also speaking, Engr. Manir Musa, Chief Executive Officer of MTech Construction Company, described the project as monumental and expressed pride in its successful completion.
