The Kebbi police command says it has recorded 14 murder cases and arrested 31 suspects.

While parading car theft suspects and others who were arrested for allegedly snatching motorcycles and killing the owners in some areas of the state, the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Kabiru, said his command was able to deal with the suspects and effect their arrest based on tip-off and intelligence gathering.

He said his men were able to track down and arrest one Umar Muhammed who was famous for stealing cars using master keys.

He said theft suspect, who is from Makera Asada area of Sokoto State, was arrested along Bello Way in Birnin Kebbi while attempting to steal a Toyota Carina E car belonging to one Alhaji Abubakar Lawal using a master key.

Kabiru said another suspect, Musa Aliyu, was arrested for attacking a motorcyclist he hired to take him to a petrol station but snatched his motorcycle.
