The Chairman of the state SURE-P trust fund, Alhaji Abubakar Na’amo, said this recently when he received the Rwandan High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr.Jseph Habineza, in Yauri Local Government Area of the state.
 The High Commissioner was in the state to inspect some areas and aspects of the partnership.
Na’amo, said the Fund would partner Rwanda, “that had turned around its economy after 20 years of tribal war”.
He said the Rwandan High Commissioner was expected to identify specific areas of partnership with the state, especially on tourism, solid minerals development, agriculture and human resource development.
The High Commissioner Joseph Habineza said authorities in his country embarked on a revolution on environment protection by abolishing polythene that was not friendly to the environment and replaced it with aggressive tree planting.
“Bureaucracy was cut down by my government and within six hours a firm would be registered with N6,000 for legitimate activities.
“The land, waterways and tourism attractions were repackaged for commercial purposes and we work towards  utilizing the River Niger that passed through Yauri emirate for  fishing, irrigation and tourism attraction.
The Chairman of Yauri Local Government, Alhaji Bala Usman, described his council as peaceful and capable of emerging as a major tourists attraction and mining activities.
The Emir of Yauri, Alhaji Zayyanu Abdullahi, led the Joseph Habineza and his entourage to a boat riding within River Niger.
Shortly after, the High Commissioner granted an interview to the Newsmen, noting that the emirate was blessed with abundant tourism potentials which, if properly harnessed, will fetch the state billions of dollars. He said that “water the is wealth”.
