Officials of KSUSTA who spoke to our correspondent  in Aliero, said the development followed the appointment of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdullahi Abdu Zuru of the university as new Vice Chancellor of the Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto.
“The appointment of Professor Zuru followed the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing VC of the university, Professor Riskuwa Shehu,” the officials said.
Daily Trust gathered that, the appointment of the new Vice Chancellor takes effect from,Wednesday July 16, 2014.
Professor Zuru got the highest score out of eight candidates that interacted with the Joint Council and Senate Selection Board for the appointment of Vice Chancellor.
Professor Zuru had been at the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry, of the same Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto.
