The management of Kano Electricity Distribution Plc (KEDCO) has donated instruction materials worth thousands of naira to some primary schools in the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the company’s spokesperson Muhammad Kandi who said the donation to the schools was part of the management’s commitment towards contributing its quota to the educational development of pupils within its area of operation.
He said KEDCO would continue to contribute to the development of the communities adding that it would also extend the same gesture to hospitals, orphanages and other schools within its catchment areas.
“While we are working relentlessly towards achieving one of our missions of becoming the most customer-centric electricity distribution company in Nigeria, we also do our best to make positive impact on the communities in which we operate and we intend to achieve this through our social responsibility activities. This is just the beginning, as we plan to extend such program to hospitals, orphanages and other schools within our operational area of Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States,” the statement said.
