Speaking to Feverpitch on phone, the former Eagles assistant coach said Keshi should not be crucified for bringing back the likes of Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Sani Kaita because the players have something to offer.

He said re-building a national team is not something that can be achieved over night as such Nigerians should exercise patience with the coach.

Adisa said even when Eagles lose a match, Keshi should not be bombarded with harsh criticisms as he said that would distract him.

“Keshi is doing the right thing. He is very much on track and I am fully in support of him. Although a player like Yakubu Aiyegbeni is old, he is still effective and even if I the coach, I would invite him because even in the EPL he is among the top scorers”, he said.

Adisa therefore urged the Eagles coach to remain focused on the task of re-building the team.
