Keshi right to prefer Kaduna for Sudan clash- Zubairu

Zubairu in a telephone chat with Fever Pitch yesterday also added that the Nigerian team can be assured of getting 100 percent security and support from the thousands of football loving citizens of the State
“Everybody know that our state has immense love and history with the game of football, that is why whenever any of the national teams come here to play they always get a rapturous welcome and support, I’m sure that is why Keshi prefers Kaduna, this year alone we have hosted seven games of the national teams” the former lawmaker said.
According to reports, Eagles manager Stephen Keshi needs what in popular football parlance is known as the 12th player, which is the crowd to win the return leg clash with Sudan on Wednesday.
“In Abuja, yes, you have a good pitch, but your crowd here prefers to stay glued to their television sets. With the way things are, I want my players to play before a vociferous partisan crowd, and from the look of things I can only get this from Kaduna, because I know, they (people there) always come out to watch matches.” The gaffer was reported to have said.
This year, the 15,000-capacity Ahmadu Bello Stadium has already hosted the qualifying matches of the country’s U20 team, the Flying Eagles and the female team, the Falcons.
The senior team has played their home matches for the past two years at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar as a result of the poor pitch of the Abuja National Stadium.
