The two parties agreed before Justice Elfreda Williams-Dawodu on the modalities to register the children in a “better-rated school”. They equally concurred on the time regarding the access of Mr Keyamo to the children, pursuant to a family conference convened by the court.
Consequently, the trial judge ordered that Mrs Keyamo should make the children available for registration at an agreed primary school, on Wednesday October 7 and Thursday October 8.Justice Williams-Dawodu, also gave an order that the children be made available to Mr Keyamo every fortnight between 12.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays afternoon until the determination of the case. By the consensus reached by the parties, the court held that Mr Keyamo would pick the children from the wife’s resident personally and return them the following day personally.
Oodua Trust that the Human Rights lawyer had filed an application at the court, seeking access to his children for two days and to enrol them in a “better rated school”. He also claimed that he was not prepared to pay the fees for any less-rated school, “unless I change the school of my children to high profile one”.
The two children, Festus Keyamo jnr, male, 5 years and Nicole Keyamo, female, 2 years 6 months, have been leaving with Mrs Keyamo since the marriage broke down in July 2007.The trial judge however adjourned the matter till November 11 for commencement of trial and to enable both parties file all necessary documents before the court.
Justice Williams-Dawodu commended Mr and Mrs Keyamo, who were present during the proceeding for reaching the temporary consensus until the court gives a definite ruling.
