Keystone Bank has reopened its revamped branch in Ketu, Lagos, bringing back physical banking services to one of the city’s busiest commercial hubs after a period of renovation.

Located at Plot 584, Ikorodu Road, the branch was officially reopened on Friday during a ceremony attended by business owners, market leaders, community members and senior bank executives.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director and CEO of Keystone Bank, Hassan Imam, described the reopening as a strategic move aligned with the bank’s national expansion drive and efforts to improve customer access to financial services.

“The Ketu axis is home to a vibrant community of entrepreneurs, traders, and families,” Imam said. “With upgraded facilities, this branch will deliver more personalized and convenient banking experiences to meet their needs.”

Imam also noted that while the bank continues to grow its digital footprint, physical branches in commercial hubs like Ketu remain critical.

“As a retail-focused bank, we are dedicated to supporting MSMEs through loans, training, and advisory services. Our partnerships with organisations such as Facebook, Google, and the Lagos Chamber of Commerce have allowed us to strengthen that support. The Ketu branch builds on this legacy,” he added.

Executive Director, Corporate Bank & South, Mrs. Nnenna Anyim-Okoro, highlighted the importance of Ketu’s commercial ecosystem and reaffirmed the bank’s long-term support for small and medium-scale businesses.

“This branch is more than a service point—it’s a hub for economic empowerment,” she said.

“From access to credit to financial literacy and digital tools, our goal is to help local businesses thrive.”

Chairman of the Mile 12 International Market, Alhaji Shehu Usman, welcomed the reopening and urged the bank to develop tailored financial products for small businesses in the area.

Local merchant Ayokunle Ibikunle also lauded the development, saying it would ease transactions and improve access to funding for traders in the area.

The event saw more than 200 new account openings, while many existing customers reactivated dormant accounts.
