After two weeks of action, the boys have been separated from the men and we are now left with eight gladiators to contend for the coveted trophy at stake.
Quarter final matches are billed to start today as host South Africa takes on the Eagles of Mali, while the Black Stars of Ghana take on the surprise team of the tournament, Cape Verde.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles who squeezed past Waylas Antelopes of Ethiopia to reach the quarters face an uphill task tomorrow against tournament favourites Cote d’Ivoire. The final match of the quarter final games pitches, Burkina Faso against Hawks of Togo.
Expectedly, our cover is on the grudge match between the Super Eagles and the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday. The two countries have old scores to settle and tomorrow’s match is a perfect setting.
