Kidnapped Delta LG vice chair regains freedom

The kidnapped vice chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Chief Frank Esiwo Ozue, has regained freedom.

Chief Ozue was reportedly abducted on Sunday and regained freedom on Wednesday night after spending some days with the kidnappers.

City & Crime gathered that his family paid N7 million before he was released.

Sources said, “the family of the Isoko North Local Government Council Vice chairman reportedly paid N7 million to secured his release.

“Chief Ozue was ambushed and kidnapped by gunmen along the Iwhre-Ovie/Oviri-Ogor Road in Ogor Town off the Ughelli/Evwreni section of the East-West Road on Sunday.

The politician, who is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), also took to his Facebook page on Thursday morning to confirm that he had regained his freedom.
