The kidnapped retired Deputy Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Alhaji Danladi Idris Boris, and four others have regained freedom after a ransom was paid to their abductors.

Boris and the four others were abducted in the early hours of Sunday at Anguwar Dabiri in Tungan-Maje of Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.

A family member said Boris, his son and three others were freed around 7.pm at a forest in Paiko, Niger State, after an undisclosed ransom was paid.

The spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, ASP Maryam Yusuf, said she was not aware.
