Two suspected kidnappers were killed during an exchange of fire with the police at Maina-Maji village in Alkaleri LGA of Bauchi State.
The police also arrested a suspected kidnapper, Abubakar Isah, who had in his possession N8.4m suspected to be ransom money collected from his victims.

Also recovered are an SMG rifle with 92 live ammunition, one empty magazine, an SMG OFN rifle, one 7.62mm calibre of live ammunition and eight models of phones.
The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police (CP), Umar Mamman Sanda, who paraded the suspect and other criminals on Tuesday, said, “Security concerns in our society have assumed alarming dimensions, ranging from gender-based violence, thuggery, armed robbery, kidnapping to banditry. This necessitates a review of our modus.”
