Kidnappers have abducted three labourers in Gwombe community of Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

One of the labourers who escaped and preferred anonymity gave the names of the kidnapped victims simply as Abdulmalik, Yunusa and Fabian. He said the incident happened on Thursday around 5pm when Fabian, who is a timber operator, engaged a truck to convey timber from a forest when the kidnappers laid ambushed on them.

A family member of one of the victims who also preferred anonymity, said contact had been established with the kidnappers and that they were demanding N9m ransom.

The spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, DSP Adeh Josephine, told our reporter that she would contact the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kuje in order to confirm the incident.
