The police in Kano State have arrested two suspects who allegedly specialise in manufacturing locally made pistols and ammunition used for various crimes in the state. The suspects, Rabiu Sulaiman, of Fadan Gaya village, and Yahaya Abdulkadir, of Yalwan Rugu-Rugu village, all in Tudun Wada Local Government Area, were paraded by the spokesperson of the police in the state, SP Magaji Musa Majia.

Majia said it was discovered that weapons recovered from the suspects were commonly used in kidnapping and robbery along the Kaduna/Zaria road, as well as the Tudun Wada/Falgore road.

Speaking with journalists, one of the suspects, Rabiu Sulaiman, said he had manufactured and sold many of his guns with prices ranging from N15,000 to N20,000. 

He however, added that he was selling to local vigilantes without notifying security agents.
