The Edo State Police Command has confirmed the death of Abu Tahir, who was abducted alongside his elder brother, Dr. Abu Ibrahim Babatunde.

The police spokesperson in the state, ASP Eno Ikoedem, said his corpse was discovered during a search operation.

She said the family identified the corpse as that of the younger brother of the medical doctor with whom he was kidnapped.

Recall that the brothers were kidnapped on January 1, 2026, on City Pride Road, Igbira Camp, Auchi – the headquarters of Etsako West LGA.
